Our Technology
The broad bandwidth of the novel silicate technology was originally developed by the Medical Research Council (MRC) and the University of Cambridge (UK) which also invented Keytruda® and Humira®: two of the premier and top selling prescription drugs in the world.
- Our unique formulation attracts and absorbs moisture from the air. It is powered by micro-silicates which are derived from Orthosilic Acid (OSA) which is the bioavailable form of silicon diluted in water which in mammals is a associated with healthy connective tissue growth.
- Research shows that OSA accelerates wound cicatrization (scarring) by stimulating basal epidermal and dermal fibroblasts cells to up-regulate the expression of essential fibroblast growth factors.
- Moreover, collagen and elastin fibers formed in OSA's presence are more densely packed, better organized, and more homogeneously distributed.*
- Recently, it was also shown that ultra-small silica particles directly ligate the T-cell receptor complex and induce CD4 + and CD8 + T-cell activation, thus providing a therapeutic potential (www.pnas.org/cgi/doi/10.1073/pnas.1911360117)
